Managing stress is one of the most difficult challenges facing our community today. When managed effectively, daily life is more enjoyable; however, when stress overtakes your daily activities, the burden can become overwhelming. Some basic ways to combat unnecessary stress is get adequate rest at night, have a healthy diet, exercise consistently, and make time for hobbies and interests.
Everywhere we look, expectations are higher than ever. The pressure to keep up with your family and friends can be extremely difficult and burdensome. Often, we struggle with self-esteem and self-confidence. We worry that we are not pretty enough, wealthy enough, or popular enough. We may struggle with feeling confident in our abilities. We must first strive to love ourselves and work on small, measurable improvements each day. To accomplish this, it is helpful to have some patience, set basic goals, and reward yourself along the way.
